Terms of use

Version 1.0, effective 31 July 2026.

By using theboardusa.com, joining the list, or receiving any Board USA material, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with any of them, do not use the site or the materials.

1. What Board USA is

Board USA is a career education and preparation practice run by Rafael Souza, based in Houston, Texas. What it offers is content, method and guidance on how the U.S. corporate market evaluates professionals trained outside the United States.

2. What Board USA is not

Not a recruiting or placement agency. We hold no roles, do not forward resumes to employers, and do not broker hiring.

Not a law firm and not an immigration advisor. We do not advise on visas, petition categories, eligibility, case strategy or responses to a request from any authority. Nothing here is legal advice, and nothing here creates an attorney client relationship. Those questions belong to a licensed attorney, and that is where we refer them.

We do not write, draft, suggest the wording of, commission or broker letters of interest, letters of recommendation, or any document intended to support an immigration filing. If such a document exists in your life, it came from real market interaction that you created, and how it is used is between you and your attorney.

Not financial, accounting or tax advice.

3. No guarantee of outcome

Board USA does not guarantee employment, an interview, an offer, a salary increase, a timeline, success in any selection process, success in any immigration process, or any other outcome. No material, and no communication on behalf of Board USA, should be read as a promise of results.

Outcomes in a job search depend on your profile, your execution, market timing and decisions made by third parties we do not control. Any cases, examples or testimonials published are individual accounts and do not represent typical or expected results.

4. Use of the content

All content on the site and in the materials, including text, guides, diagrams, brand, visual identity and the structure of the method, belongs to Rafael Souza and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may read, print and use the material for your own professional development. Without written permission you may not resell, redistribute, publish, translate, adapt or fold the material into a product or service of your own; use the content to train an artificial intelligence model; or use the Board USA name in a way that suggests a partnership, endorsement or representation that does not exist.

5. Email

By joining the list you authorise us to send the material you asked for and later writing on corporate careers in the United States, including messages about our own products and services. You can leave at any time through the link at the bottom of every email. How your data is handled is set out in the privacy policy.

6. Paid products and services

One to one sessions, mentoring and the course, once open, will carry their own terms of purchase covering price, scope, duration and refunds, disclosed at the point of sale. Those terms prevail over these where they are specific. These terms continue to apply otherwise, in particular sections 2, 3 and 4.

7. Limitation of liability

The content is provided as is, for informational and educational purposes. The decisions you make from it are yours. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Board USA and Rafael Souza are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunity, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the content.

We are not responsible for the content, practices or availability of third party sites referenced here, including law firms, and mentioning a third party is not an endorsement of the quality of their service.

8. Availability and changes

The site may be unavailable for maintenance or because of a provider failure. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the free content at any time. These terms may be updated; the version in force is always the one published on this page, dated at the top, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are preserved.
